Eurobulk LTD has placed an order for six 2,800 TEU and three 1,800 TEU container vessels, which are considered as fuel-efficient and eco-designed vessels equipped with Tier III engines and other sustainability linked features including installation of AMP (alternative maritime power). The vessels are being built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. in Ulsan, South Korea.
The first two of the 2,800 TEU container vessels, M/V GREGOS and M/V TERATAKI, has been delivered in April 2023 and July 2023.
