Eurobulk LTD has placed an order for six 2,800 TEU and three 1,800 TEU container vessels, which are considered as fuel-efficient and eco-designed vessels equipped with Tier III engines and other sustainability linked features including installation of AMP (alternative maritime power). The vessels are being built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. in Ulsan, South Korea.
The first four of the 2,800 TEU container vessels, M/V GREGOS, M/V TERATAKI, M/V TENDER SOUL and M/V LEONIDAS Z has been delivered in April 2023, July 2023, February 2024 and April 2004. The first of the 1,800 TEU container vessel, M/V MONICA, has been delivered in May 2024. the second, M/V STEPHANIA P delivered on the 28th of June 2024 and the last, PEPI STAR, on the 19th of July 2024
