Eurobulk LTD has placed an order for six 2,800 TEU and three 1,800 TEU container vessels, which are considered as fuel-efficient and eco-designed vessels equipped with Tier III engines and other sustainability linked features including installation of AMP (alternative maritime power). The vessels are being built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. in Ulsan, South Korea.
The first three of the 2,800 TEU container vessels, M/V GREGOS, M/V TERATAKI and M/V TENDER SOUL, has been delivered in April 2023, July 2023 and February 2024.
