Over the last six years, Eurobulk LTD – on behalf of its client companies Euroseas, EuroDry, as well as private interests – has undertaken an extensive newbuilding program. The first round comprised nine feeder containership vessels – six 2,800 TEU and three 1,800 TEU vessels – built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. in Ulsan, South Korea, and was completed in January of 2025, with the delivery of the final two vessels, M/V DEAR PANEL and M/V SYMEON P. These nine newbuildings are modern, eco-design vessels, built to EEDI Phase 3 and Tier III engine standards, and are approximately 30% more fuel-efficient than older generation vessels at current sailing speeds, correspondingly reducing emissions. They are also equipped with additional sustainability-linked features, including Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) for shore-power connectivity at appropriately equipped ports, reducing fuel consumption and emissions while in port. Seven of the nine vessels are LNG ready.
